Trees are gettin yellow and in huskyfarm this mean busy times. Autumm training with dogs start. For almost 100 dog farm it mean full days for 2-4 people to make optimal training. It also mean plenty of money to invest for work in autumm. But in other hand it mean strong ,happy dogs and also quality for winter safaris. From begin one basic for my kennel have been best possible training for autumm time. For us that time is rain, cold, mud, wild dogs etc.. But also its time to learn from dogs, make most important part to develop them to be able to come good workindogs. That challence pay out frozen fingerds and sand in eyes and mouth.!
My training method is based to system to train dogs for mid distance limited class racing . so idea is to train them for calopp and fast trotting, and also have enough power for small team running. Because of big variation of different kind of dogs training optimalising is not wery easy. Its not easy to have strong dog who can stand several hour caloppin and be able to also go in soft trails whole day without knock out. Then still must regonise youg dogs and also those who are all ready staying in pencion partly. I thionk its easier train Nauru island ice hockey team to olympic fial than get this palett perfect condition
Now we have run up to today only adult basic dogs. I always do so to get teams workin nicely and cool before put beginners in. For yougsters is important that everything around work well durin they fiirst starts. Other dogs, trail, equipment- all must be checked before make big steop for youg dog sleddog currier. Tooday i was exited because i took first from Nansen-Hekla pups to lines. Boomer stardet and it was just amazing perfect job from youg dog. 5 meter and he know why he born. 4 kilometer hart workin and no sign to get tired. No sittin down, no turning and twistin team, just work.
Actually i expected something like this because that litter have been from small pup wery good. I think these will bring to my teams lot of pleasure in future. Boys are wery stong and girls look pretty fast and have wery powerfull but economic step. Boomer was one today and also one point was great. there was plenty of water on trail and ewen deep water he just pull like Bulldozer.
For youg dogs water is not easy sometime. For me its singal from strong mind for leading position also. Ofcourse is still long way to that point and lot of things can happen. But im pretty sure that these will be bit more than standard dogs.
In blood they have my old Kiisu background. There is also Schooner who once won ONAC as leader. Itrs hardest sprint race in world. Also Laitinen lines are in with Attla background , so its this way intresting cake. Now i need go back to training dogs for your winter safari! I will write more results when more of them have run!
