Acommodation:Ski hotel Iso-syöte Cozy hotel aroundet by one of most beatiful seanery in Finnish Lappland. Downhill-and cross-country skiin trails just beside hotel.
The snowmobiling and winter hiking with snow shoes start from the hotel yard. You reach the center of village after short walking time. All hotel rooms are equipped with phone, TV, a drying-cupboard, toilet and shower. For guests, the hotel sauna and swimming pool are free of charge.
Accommodation is also possible in log cabins nearby hotel. Ask for more information. There are also simple twin rooms at the huskyfarm itself. Shared facilities, wood heated sauna and lots of dogs includes. Limited place.
Program
1st day
Transfer from airport to accommodation. After dinner, you’ll get all information needed. Then you have time to relax in the sauna. For late arrivals, information follows next morning.
2nd day
Snowmobiling. You will get your warm clothing and obtain all driving and safety instructions before starting to a 40 - 60 km long snowmobile safari. Challenging trails, wild forest and wide swamps and lakes.
You may meet reindeers and birds and see traces from mooses and snow hares. On the way, lunch will be served at an open fire. Duration of tour is about 4-5 hours. Two people per snowmobile. On reguest, single snowmobile booking is possible.
3rd day
Sleddog trainingday. Transfer to the Huskyfarm. A hundred huskies and your guide wellcome you to Finn-Jann! Now, you will get all information for the coming day and instructions how to handle the dogs and the sledge. We will drive a training loop with two people per dog-team.
One is driving and one is sitting in the sledge. Drivers change during the tour. Lunch is served at open fire, out in the forest. Driving distance is depending on weather conditions and will be between 15-30 km.
4th day
Overnight safari starts. Transfer to the huskyfarm. Preparing for the overnight safari.
Everyone will drive own dog-team with 4-6 huskies. (Optional two people /sledge). During the tour, we will eat around the fire. In the afternoon we will reach the wilderness cabin. Together with the guide, you take care of your own dogs. And in teamwork, we heat the cabin and sauna, open the ice lock and carry the wather in. Coffeetime. And now, traditional, finnish sauna will be ready! Are you as brave to take a swim in the brr could ice hole?
Dinner.
The rustic log cabin has no electricity or running water. There's an outdoor toilet. For personal hygiene, there will be hot water in the sauna.
5th day
After breakfast and takeing care of the dogs, we will pack, clean the cabin and put the dogs ready to continue the tour. Lunch will be taken in the forest again. In the afternoon, arrival to the farm. After saying goodbye to dogs, we have coffee and traditional snacks at the farm. Transfer back to accommodation.
6th day
Wintersport in Syöte. In the morning, you will snowshoe through the snowy landscape. Enjoy the fresh air, the silence and cold of the arctic winter. Learn about finnish nature and wildlife. A warm drink is served on the tour. After lunch in the hotel, it is possible to join a crosscountry skiing introduction. You can also get skis and go on your own. Dinner and sauna.
7th day
Free day. Explore the surroundings on your own. old russian trade , join our other activities or relax in the hotel minispa. Possible to visit arctic zoo Ranua and santa claus village in Rovaniemi.
8th day
After breakfirst, transfer to airport.
