Last weekend we had winter seanerys around farm firs time this autumm, it didnt last long. Now its gray and wet again. But sonner or later snow come again and stay.
Work with the dogs have been active since begin of september, dogs have allready good basic condition and also youngsters have get rutiin for workin. This autumm new dogs in harness are Kimbo boys and girls. They are lookin wery good allready and will surely be good part of Finn-Jann team. Like i mention in spring Finn-jann have chances for comin season. Jussi and Minna have now own carden with huskies as well. They will continue drivin our tours like before but from own bace and as own company. For me this is welcome solution because i like that in my kennel number of dogs is bit smalle than it used to be .Our total number is 68 dogs now. Last time i had same amount of dogs in 1994 . Maybe im gettin old but im much more relax to start season with these teams. Im pretty sure that we are goin to offer better guality of tours than ever before. For comin season we will drive almost every week our long huskytour program, so that way farm is back in basic where i started long time ago.
At moment we are just finishing our building project for new showers and toilets for guest house. We will still make some new things for our client who stay in farm accom next season. Im lookin forward to have farm more lifefull after some quiet years.
My team in farm at moment is Arja takin care of dogs, Weronica "Wrony " training and she have got big help from Sari who have spend plenty her time to train her racers and also helpin wroni with safari dogs. Sari and Wroni have bought been workin several seasons in farm earlier so dogs are in wery good hands.
Me myself have been workin this autumm with other farm work, my dog season will start next week. At moment im with my machines prepairing our dog trails. I make bigger part of trails more suitable for small snow driving, so we can be more sure in begin of season that we have intresting trails for client. In same way those more fixed trails will be good for sprint race training teams, our standart dog trails are bit too narrow and curvefull for big sprint teams. These new parts should be good to drive when 10 cm snow is on trail, those safari trails partly need almots 30 cm before they are save enought for dogs and drivers.
We have in farm 2 litter of puppies from summer. Old main leader Storm have puppies with Nansen. They look wery pretty, One boy is exact like father and one female look like mother. I have think that they dont need to be any better than parents are , thats really would ful fill my biggest wishes. Same i can say also from other litter Kimbo and Santana. If puppies will reach parents level im more than happy. This we will know after year or two. All signs are promising wery good allready.
For my friends who are figuring to come for longer huskyprograms i wish bit hurry allready because there is allready nice number of bookings . Past two years was not so complete good for us but now it look like people trust future bit more again.
This future word bring to my mind also nature and careing of it. In farm we have made this summer some small things for that important matter as well. We build new vastewater cleaning system for farm what should take 90 % fosfor out from vaste water, also we have made prepirings for our energy systems to drop our energy using and also make small part for better future !
After some weeks im happy to see some of you here in my farm again ! We will keep our nice carden sauna warm for you !
